We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious M&A professional to join our Strategy team. This is an amazing opportunity if you have a strong drive and ambition and a couple of years of experience in an investment/M&A environment. As part of the Strategy team, you will be on the front line to make acquisitions and equity partnerships happen, both domestically and internationally.
What your job looks like
Identify and evaluate potential targets for acquisition or equity partnerships that support international expansion or product extension, through market research and networking.
Conduct financial modelling and analysis to assess the value and strategic fit of potential transactions. Interact with the other teams in that respect.
Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive corporate growth and expansion, including mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and alliances, while conducting thorough market analysis and due diligence to identify potential opportunities and risks.
Coordinate and execute the transaction, which includes conducting the due diligence activities and drafting and reviewing legal documents in close collaboration with legal and financial advisors.
Assist in negotiating deal terms, pricing and other aspects of the transaction. Collaborate with the Chief Strategy Officer and other senior team members in that respect.
Prepare presentations and reports in order to communicate progress and updates to management, communicating both via written documentation and oral presentations.
Contribute to post-merger integration planning, collaborating closely with the other departments.
Job requirements
You have a Master's degree in finance, engineering, business or a related field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant M&A experience, for example in a venture capital/private equity firm or M&A boutique.
You have min. 5 years of experience in corporate development and in managing the entire M&A process from target screening to deal closing
You have an analytical mindset and are proficient in building financial models for financial evaluation and valuation.
You have a comprehensive background encompassing corporate development, coupled with a proven track record of success in navigating complex corporate landscapes.
You can manage an M&A deal process, coordinating the various aspects while meeting deadlines.
You are a strong communicator and negotiator, also known as a person of integrity.
You thrive in a dynamic and fast-growing environment, where you go the extra mile to get things done.
You have a proven ability to work independently and take initiative.
You are a team player who likes to interact with stakeholders at all levels within and outside of the organization.
You are fluent in English and native in Dutch or French.
